To consider the conservation of the global environment, we are taking steps to reduce plastic waste emissions. In guest rooms, we plan to review amenities such as toothbrushes, razors, and brushes, by switching to biomass materials or implementing an amenity buffet-style system at the front desk where guests can choose only the amenities they need. In our restaurants, we aim to reconsider the use of plastic materials, such as straws and take-out containers, and explore more sustainable alternatives.

■Water Conservation in Guest Rooms
To consider the conservation of the global environment, we are taking steps to conserve water in guest rooms. In addition to implementing eco-cleaning and switching to biomass amenities, we plan to install water-saving devices such as showerheads and faucet aerators or switches to reduce water consumption.

■LED Lighting in Hotel Facilities
We are working to standardize LED lighting specifications in both new and rebranded hotel facilities to reduce power consumption, lower room temperatures, and decrease air conditioning usage.

■Use of Toilet Paper Until the End
We are promoting the use of toilet paper until the end.

■Active Employment of Overseas Talent
To consider the conservation of the global environment, we are actively employing overseas talent in various departments such as front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping, while also implementing eco-cleaning. This is in line with our vision for global expansion.

We have incorporated local production for local consumption in our restaurant, and we also include local dishes on our menu to contribute to the revitalization of the local community.

■Food Waste Reduction
As waste is inevitably generated when dealing with buffets, we reduce the amount of waste by adjusting the number of breakfast guests and the amount of ingredients used.

At Hewitt Resort Naha, we take weathered coral and heat it to over 200 degrees Celsius to roast coffee beans. A portion of the proceeds is donated to coral regeneration activities, such as planting baby corals.

■CORE’S CLEAN STAYING Implemented Throughout all the Hotels
We take advantage of the strength of having a cleaning management company in our group and thoroughly disinfect all guest rooms and common areas such as the lobby through CORE’S CLEAN STAYING.

■ Installation of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
To prepare for unexpected situations, we have installed AEDs throughout the hotel. We also conduct regular equipment inspections.

■Measures Against Infectious Diseases
Our employees wear masks at all times, and we conduct temperature checks for guests upon check-in and restaurant entry. We have installed alcohol disinfectant throughout the hotel, and we have also installed acrylic partitions at the front counter and restaurant seating areas. In addition, we regularly measure the air environment to confirm the status of ventilation.

■Barrier-Free Facilities
Employees always wear masks, and we are working on making the hotel barrier-free so that even customers in wheelchairs can visit with peace of mind.

■Entry into the Child Development Support Business
We are opening a facility to support preschool children with disabilities, focusing on fostering independence and providing opportunities for play and learning, similar to daycare and kindergarten settings.
